The Ukrainian Red Cross Instructors are Providing First Aid Training to Employees of Strategically Important Enterprises
Currently, a series of training sessions has commenced for over 300 KAMET-STEEL employees.
During these sessions, participants will practice first aid skills aimed at preserving the lives and health of victims in critical situations. The training programme comprises 12 modules and is designed to ensure that each participant gains both theoretical knowledge and practical first-aid skills.
The instructors explain how to assess the victim’s condition and determine the appropriate course of action in each case. The training encompasses guidelines for calling the ambulance, instruction on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, techniques for controlling bleeding, injury treatment protocols, and principles of transportation. Special emphasis is placed on providing first aid to children of various ages.
“Dangerous situations can happen to anyone, and the risks are significantly higher, especially in the context of war. That’s why we must know how to provide effective first aid, regardless of our position or profession. I am sincerely grateful to the organisers and instructors of the training sessions who taught me how to respond properly in emergency situations. Thanks to them, I’ve gained valuable knowledge and skills that can be applied anywhere,” said Tetiana, a crane operator at the rolling mill.
The Ukrainian Red Cross remains committed to teaching people first aid, recognising that this knowledge can be lifesaving.
