Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers take part in the Youth Leadership Academy of the Danish Red Cross
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross participated in the Youth Leadership Academy of the Danish Red Cross — an international programme that brings together young leaders from the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement worldwide.
A key component of the Academy was a leadership module focused on developing teamwork, conflict management, motivation support, psychological resilience, and understanding the role of a leader in times of crisis and challenge.
Investing in young leaders today means investing in the resilience of society tomorrow. It is young people who can take responsibility, support others, work in crisis conditions, and unite communities around shared values that build strong communities and shape the future of the humanitarian sector.
Such international programmes are not only about learning, but also about the mutual exchange of knowledge and approaches. Today, Ukraine is not only adopting new practices but also sharing its own experience in crisis response, supporting people, and operating in wartime conditions — an experience that has become valuable for the international community.
It is through initiatives like this that a new generation of leaders is formed — leaders capable not only of responding to challenges, but also of driving change and strengthening the humanitarian movement in Ukraine and beyond.
