Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross Responds to Mitigate the Impact of the Russian Attack

Last night, Russian troops launched another attack on Ukraine.

  • Kryvyi Rih

The team from the Kryvyi Rih branch of the Dnipro regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross worked at the site of the missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. Volunteers arrived promptly at the scene, where they provided first aid to the victims, offered psychological first aid to those in shock, and supported the work of emergency services.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Russian attack on the hotel resulted in the deaths of three people and injured 31 others, including a child. The attack also damaged 14 apartment buildings, a cultural centre, a post office, shops, and cars.

  • Kharkiv

The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Kharkiv region was working at the scene of the attack. Volunteers provided first aid to the victims, assisted first responders in evacuating residents from the damaged building, and provided psychological first aid to those experiencing stress and confusion.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the attack damaged a nine-storey residential building, and the blast wave also affected the facades of neighbouring buildings and a kindergarten.
