The Reboot programme has reached almost 10,000 participants across 10 regions of Ukraine

The Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme, which aims to support people in rebuilding their professional skills and finding employment, continues to expand. Since the programme was launched at the end of 2023, and as of 2025, almost 10,000 participants have attended information sessions across 10 regions of Ukraine.

Over the past year, the programme’s coverage has expanded significantly. Support is now available not only at the five service centres but also in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv regions, alongside regions where the programme was already operating: Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Ternopil, and Vinnytsia. For those unable to attend in person, an online service offers guidance and employment support, available to all regardless of location.

Since the programme began, 4,400 participants have upgraded their qualifications or completed professional courses, while 650 participants have received microgrants to develop their own businesses — including in areas such as organic vegetable cultivation, drinking water delivery, speech therapy services, energy audits of buildings, and other fields.

Technical professions are in particularly high demand due to workforce shortages, and nearly 600 participants have completed related courses. Among them is Svitlana from the Kherson region, who trained as a welder in Kyiv.

Other popular areas of training include accounting, sewing, culinary arts and pastry, SMM marketing, programming, floristry, and lathe work. Overall, the programme covers more than 20 professions for people aged 18 to 67, including vulnerable groups such as internally displaced persons, veterans, large or low-income families, caregivers, and others who require additional support.

Reboot is a comprehensive programme combining training, psychosocial support, socialisation, and employment assistance. As a result of these efforts, 3,100 people have secured employment. The Reboot programme remains a vital tool for supporting Ukrainians amid the war and socio-economic instability, helping people rebuild resilience and independence.
