In July, 1,726 participants took part in psychosocial support activities organised by the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Zhytomyr region

A total of 167 events were conducted at 15 locations across different districts of the region. Children and adults had the opportunity to engage in creative activities that helped them feel safe, calm down, and find their own paths to recovery. During active games, participants can learn teamwork skills and establish communication with their peers. Activities for children are also held in summer camps.

A key role of the volunteers is to help create a safe space where each participant can be heard and recognise their own value and ability to overcome stress. The activities are implemented in the region with the support of the Danish Red Cross.
