Donating blood is a simple act that can help save a life
Ukrainian Red Cross staff once again donated blood to support people who need it most, including wounded service members, patients recovering from complex surgeries, and people living with serious illnesses.
The initiative was organised by specialists from the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention programme in cooperation with the Blood Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which helps supply military healthcare services with donated blood and blood components.
At both national and local levels, the Ukrainian Red Cross supports the development of voluntary blood donation by working with blood centres, helping healthcare facilities access blood components, and promoting blood donation as an effective way to help people.
Regular blood donation is essential because the need for blood is constant. That is why it is important for as many people as possible to take part in voluntary blood donation.
