Application deadline extended until 30 September for the Social Entrepreneurship School and Veteran Business School
The Ukrainian Red Cross has extended the application period for the Social Entrepreneurship School and Veteran Business School for veterans, women veterans, and their family members from the Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv regions. Applications are open until and including 30 September.
Both schools provide participants with practical knowledge to start or develop their own businesses, work with mentors, and prepare a business plan.
Participants in the Veteran Business School will learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, financial planning, marketing, and sales. During the training, they will develop their own business ideas and prepare a business plan, which they can present during the pitching stage.
Following the training, participants may receive a grant of up to €3,000 to start, restart, or develop their own business.
The Social Entrepreneurship School is designed for people who want to start or develop a business that has a positive impact on the community or helps address social challenges.
Participants will learn about developing a sustainable business model, finance, and communications. They will work with mentors to develop a business plan and financial model. Following the training, participants may receive a grant of up to €12,500 to implement their social enterprise project.
The schools are open to veterans and women veterans, as well as their family members — parents, spouses, and children — who live in the Vinnytsia or Mykolaiv region and have a business idea or are already developing their own business.
The schools are organised as part of the Supporting the Reintegration of Veterans in Ukraine programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Danish Red Cross and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The training component is delivered by the MIM-Kyiv Business School.
