In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units provided 2,199 medical consultations over a month
In June, six mobile health units visited 99 towns and villages of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where they provided medical consultations to 2199 people, including 700 internally displaced persons. During the visits, the units’ specialists measured blood pressure, blood saturation and glucose levels, examined health conditions and provided the necessary recommendations. In addition, they distributed free over-the-counter medicines to stabilise health and facilitated transportation to medical facilities for those in serious condition.
The main goal of the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units is to support the state’s primary healthcare system by delivering timely medical consultations to residents of remote settlements with limited access to medical services. Timely health assessments contribute to timely treatments, thereby maintaining health and enhancing quality of life.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, these mobile health units operate with support from the Japanese Red Cross.
