The Ukrainian Red Cross Offers Grant Support for Vulnerable Groups of Population to Start Businesses in the Ternopil Region
Applications are now open in the Ternopil region for individuals seeking to start or expand their businesses. Payments will be provided as part of the ‘Reset: Expanding Employment Opportunities’ project.
Grant support will be available for internally displaced persons, veterans and their families, and people with disabilities. Oksana Tesliuk, the project coordinator at the Ternopil regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, has confirmed that 60 grants will be issued this year. The project was launched in the Ternopil region in August 2023 with support from the Spanish Red Cross and the Swiss Red Cross. In total, about 200 people have applied for the project.
The piloting of the ‘Reset: Expanding Employment Opportunities’ project, supported by the Spanish Red Cross and other partners, is currently underway in five regions of Ukraine: Ternopil, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Kirovohrad. The project offers training, retraining, and emotional support for individuals seeking employment, along with microgrants for starting or revitalizing businesses. Trainings and information sessions are ongoing in these regions, and applications for grant support are still being accepted.
Furthermore, residents of the five regions where the project is being implemented can access information support regarding microgrants. Additionally, individuals from across Ukraine can receive assistance in finding employment. For further details, please contact the Ukrainian Red Cross national hotline at 0 800 332 656.
