As part of the Unified Cash Transfers (UCT) programme, more than 1,100 people in Kharkiv region received nearly UAH 14 million in cash assistance in July and August 2026. Each household member received UAH 12,300.

The assistance was provided to residents of Balakliia in Izium district; the Staryi Saltiv territorial community; the Zolochiv community in Bohodukhiv district; the Kholodnohirskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv; the Kuniie community in Izium district; as well as people who sought assistance at the transit centre in Lozova.

The assistance was provided to people most severely affected by the war who require additional support, including evacuees and people whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by shelling.

Unified Cash Transfers give people the flexibility to prioritise their most urgent needs and use the funds to meet them during a challenging period.

The programme is being implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with support from the U.S. and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to work with its partners to provide timely support to people most affected by the war and in need of assistance.
