Grant support of up to €12,500 for veterans and their families in Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv regions to launch and develop social business projects
The Ukrainian Red Cross is opening applications for the Social Entrepreneurship School as part of the Supporting the Reintegration of Veterans in Ukraine programme.
The Social Entrepreneurship School is designed to help veterans and their family members create businesses that not only generate income but also address important social challenges and contribute to community development.
Participants can receive grant funding of up to €12,500 to launch or develop a social business project.
Applications are open to veterans who have been discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their family members. Family members of military personnel who are missing in action or who are or have been in captivity can also apply, including parents, spouses, and children. Applicants must live in the Vinnytsia or Mykolaiv region, and either aim to launch a business with a social or community impact or be ready to develop an existing initiative.
The programme includes:
- training in developing and managing social enterprises;
- support in developing a sustainable business model;
- training in financial management, communications, and customer acquisition;
- practical workshops and meetings with experts;
- mentoring support in preparing a business plan and financial model;
- post-grant support to help implement the project.
The training programme lasts 2–3 months.
Priority will be given to initiatives that create a positive impact in communities, promote social cohesion, or help address current social challenges.
