The Ukrainian Red Cross responds to the aftermath of the attack in Poltava

Following another attack on the city, the team of the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross promptly joined response and support efforts for those affected.

According to the Poltava Regional Military Administration, more than 6,500 consumers were left without electricity due to damage to the infrastructure. The blast wave also shattered and damaged windows in residential buildings. No casualties have been reported so far.

The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Poltava region has set up a relief point where residents can charge their phones, have tea or water, and receive essential information.

Volunteers are also distributing materials for temporary repairs of damaged homes, including OSB boards, plastic sheeting, and tarpaulin, enabling residents to quickly secure broken windows and damaged structures.
