Poltava: The Ukrainian Red Cross is working at the site of the response to the attack
According to the Poltava City Council, during the night of 31 March, Russian forces attacked the Poltava community with drones. As a result of the strike, one person was killed and two others were injured.
The emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the Poltava region was immediately deployed to the site following the explosion to support rescue operations. In the morning, the team from the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross also joined the response.
A relief tent has now been set up. Here, people whose homes were damaged by the attack are being provided with materials for temporary repairs. The tent also offers first aid and psychological first aid from trained specialists, as well as a place to rest, warm up, and have a hot drink.
As of 08:30, the regional Ukrainian Red Cross team is working in close coordination with local authorities and other humanitarian organisations to ensure that everyone receives the necessary assistance as quickly as possible.
We stand by those in need.
