The Ukrainian Red Cross held a working meeting with representatives of the European Commission and National Red Cross Societies

A working meeting took place between the Ukrainian Red Cross and representatives of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), as well as the German Red Cross and the Danish Red Cross.

During the meeting, participants discussed the current humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the key areas of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s humanitarian response. Particular attention was given to winter preparedness measures and the organisation’s role in civil protection.

The parties also explored cooperation within the framework of the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) and identified key priority areas of work for 2026.

The Ukrainian Red Cross continues to work closely with international partners to strengthen humanitarian response and support people affected by the war.
