Launch of Training for the First Cohort of the REDpreneur Women Programme for Women Veterans

On 20 January, training began for the first cohort of the REDpreneur Women programme — an initiative designed to support women veterans in Ukraine through business development and social innovation.

The first cohort brings together 25 women veterans selected through a competitive process. All participants are motivated to develop their own businesses, implement social initiatives or establish veteran-led enterprises. The programme combines structured learning modules, individual mentoring and group consultations, enabling participants to refine their ideas, acquire practical entrepreneurial tools and move step by step towards implementation.

REDpreneur Women is a 12-week online programme focused on building the practical knowledge and skills required to create, launch and grow veteran-led businesses, including socially oriented enterprises. The curriculum covers business idea development, financial and marketing planning, the use of digital and AI tools, as well as an overview of available government, donor and grant support for veteran entrepreneurship. Upon completion of the programme, 17 participants will receive grant funding of EUR 7,000 each.

The REDpreneur Women programme is implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross in partnership with the Austrian Red Cross, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation, with the support of the Austrian foundation NACHBAR IN NOT and the Austrian Development Agency. The training and mentoring components of the programme are delivered in partnership with the Ukrainian Future Business Incubator.

We wish all participants a productive learning experience, confidence in their decisions and the successful implementation of business ideas that will contribute to the development of local communities and the economy of Ukraine.
