Clean-up operations continue after a large-scale attack on Kyiv
The emergency response team of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross provided assistance at the sites of the recent attack in the Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts of Kyiv. Volunteers administered first aid to seven victims, while two others received psychological first aid.
Ukrainian Red Cross aid stations are currently operating at the clean-up sites, offering tea, water, and psychological support to affected residents and emergency workers. Volunteers from the Solomianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi district branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross are also on site, distributing materials for temporary repairs to damaged homes.
Volunteers are additionally helping to care for pets rescued from damaged buildings by the Kyiv Animal Rescue Group (KARG).
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, 11 people — including one child — were killed in the Russian attack on Kyiv. A further 93 people were injured, among them 11 children. Emergency search and rescue operations are ongoing.
