In the Cherkasy region, approximately 2,400 people require monthly assistance from the medical staff of the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units
Doctors, nurses, and drivers make more than 130 visits to remote villages and shelters in the region every month to ensure that people can receive free primary healthcare despite the country’s ongoing crisis. They conduct medical examinations, measure blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood oxygen levels, provide consultations, and, if necessary, transport individuals to the nearest medical facility for more advanced care.
Thanks to the efforts of mobile health units, people receive timely medical care and consultations.
We stand by those in need.
The Canadian Red Cross supports the operation of mobile health units in the region.
