Support for people affected by the shelling in the Lyman community
Volunteers do not take days off because personal circumstances can wait when people are in trouble and need support; the most important thing is to help. Providing timely humanitarian and psychological first aid is crucial for those affected. They find comfort in knowing they are not alone, that people are around, and that the situation will return to normal.
Recently, on their day off, the team of the Lyman city branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross went to help people whose homes had been damaged by another shelling of the community. Broken windows, damaged roofs and walls were among the first things the volunteers noticed. The victims received building materials to temporarily cover the damaged parts of their homes. Additionally, the volunteers distributed other essential humanitarian aid and provided psychological first aid to those who requested it.
We stand by those in need.
