Professional training for Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units from five regions of Ukraine was held in Volyn

Over three days, the training covered the following essential topics:
  • selection and provision of rehabilitation assistive devices,
  • patient care,
  • patient transfers.
The training aims to equip participants with physical rehabilitation skills, which will be disseminated to enable Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units to provide rehabilitation assistance to residents in remote areas and vulnerable populations lacking access to proper medical care.
A physical therapist from the Japanese Red Cross, Hisamoto Nakashima, was also present to provide supervision and share his practical skills and knowledge of physical therapy with the participants. The Japanese Red Cross is already supporting mobile rehabilitation units in two regions and is ready to offer technical support to additional regions that need it.
We stand by those in need!
