Monitoring visit to the Solone community of the Dnipro region

Representatives of the World Health Organization’s Subnational Health Cluster, together with the team of the Dnipro regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, visited the Solone community, where mobile health units and social assistants of the Ukrainian Red Cross provide the necessary medical and social assistance to the community’s residents in need. 

The Solone community comprises 51 villages. Due to the long distances to medical facilities and damaged infrastructure, residents of remote villages have limited access to medical and social services. To address this, the Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units visit these villages, offering primary healthcare to those in need. 

Additionally, the Ukrainian Red Cross provides comprehensive humanitarian support to elderly individuals living alone through its Home-Based Care programme in the community.
