Video: How the Home-Based Care programme operates in the Donetsk region

Sometimes, the Ukrainian Red Cross Home-Based Care specialists are the only ones who can take care of people who are no longer able to provide decent living conditions for themselves due to their advanced age or illness.  

This situation is becoming more complicated as we approach the front line, where many elderly people are afraid to be evacuated and have no relatives to move to in the western regions of Ukraine. 

Therefore, it is crucial not to leave these people alone but to help them, care for them, and assure them that we stand by their side.
