The Ukrainian Red Cross Continues Recruiting Participants for the Pilot Activation Point Project in Five Regions of Ukraine
Only individuals belonging to vulnerable groups and living in the Cherkasy, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Ternopil and Vinnytsia regions are eligible to participate.
We would like to emphasise that a person who wants to join the project can either undergo free training or apply for a microgrant to start a business. A participant cannot engage in both activities simultaneously.
If you choose free training, it means learning a new profession or upgrading your skills for better employment. Internally displaced persons or other vulnerable groups can gain skills and knowledge to find a job in their place of residence more quickly. The person receives training and emotional support to become a more sought-after candidate and find a job in accordance with the desired profession, salary, and working conditions.
Alternatively, individuals can submit a business plan to receive a microgrant for either restoring a lost business or starting a new one. In each of the five regions, up to 60 individuals who have lost their businesses or have a ready-made plan to start their own will be eligible for funding. This includes IDPs, veterans and their families, people with disabilities, etc.
The Activation Point project is implemented with support from the Spanish Red Cross, the Swiss Red Cross in the Ternopil and Kirovohrad regions, and the Danish Red Cross in the Mykolaiv region.
Furthermore, residents from all over Ukraine can contact the Ukrainian Red Cross hotline at 0 800 332 656 for training advice and residents from the five regions mentioned above for grant support.
