Koma Youth Centre in Kropyvnytskyi Hosted an Interactive Lecture on First Aid for Young People

The event was organised by specialists from the Youth and Sports Department of the Kropyvnytskyi city council together with volunteers from the Kirovohrad regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross. The participants were cadets of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.

Mental health significantly impacts a person’s life, abilities, work performance, and their effectiveness in interacting with society. Hence, it is crucial to prioritise mental health care to prevent potentially more serious issues in the future. Together with the young people, the volunteers reviewed the stories of people who had experienced crisis events, introduced them to first aid skills, and educated them on stress reduction techniques through exercises.

Overall, the Kropyvnytskyi City Council is planning a series of events aimed at supporting the mental well-being of young people and families, with the participation of the Ukrainian Red Cross.
