The Ukrainian Red Cross Supplied Medical Backpacks to First Responders in the Khmelnytskyi Region
The Khmelnytskyi regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has supplied 45 first-aid backpacks to the region’s first responders. These kits contain essential tools and materials for bleeding control and addressing injuries, including a specific selection of medicines and tourniquets.
According to Oleksandr Svirchuk, First Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Khmelnytskyi region, first responders regularly confront the consequences of hostile attacks on the region. Consolidated sapper units are continuously engaged in clearing mines and other hazards on liberated Ukrainian land, but unfortunately, this work is not without risks to their health and lives.
Given the context of ongoing war and constant threats to the lives of emergency workers, the availability of modern first aid kits is both relevant and crucial. These kits will prove invaluable in enabling them to carry out their duties effectively.
The assistance was provided with the support of the Norwegian Red Cross.
