Together Against All Odds, an Elderly Couple Has Returned to Ukraine

An elderly married couple has returned to their homeland, Ukraine, from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. Hanna is completely blind, while Volodymyr can hardly walk on his own. After overcoming such a long, difficult, and dangerous journey, they are holding each other’s hands, happy to be home together.

Assisting with transportation and providing humanitarian aid are tasks that volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team undertake regularly, almost every day.
