Additional 50 Generators Delivered to Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia Regions
The Ukrainian Red Cross continues its support for regions where infrastructure facilities have endured significant damage due to continuous shelling. With the assistance of our partner, Move One, an additional 50 generators have been delivered to the regional branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross. These generators aim to assist communities during power outages in the Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Mykyta Ilin, the Recovery Area Coordinator of the Ukrainian Red Cross, stated, “Today, our organisation is implementing several vital projects aimed at supporting communities, especially those facing electricity issues. Equipping regional branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross with generators of various capacities is among the strategies through which we provide support for such initiatives on the ground. Henceforth, in instances of power outages or communication disruptions, people will have the means to prepare meals and recharge their phones.”
Kurt Clements, CEO of Move One, expressed, “We are committed to supporting those in need, and we take pride in our ability to assist the people of Ukraine during this challenging period. Our contribution to the Ukrainian Red Cross represents a modest yet significant gesture through which we aim to strengthen communities and offer essential aid.”
Since February 24, 2022, the Ukrainian Red Cross has distributed over 1,000 generators of various capacities to address the needs of communities.
We express our gratitude to our partners who support these initiatives and stand ready to assist in addressing the humanitarian crisis.
