In Bila Tserkva, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers hold events to provide psychosocial support to families affected by the war
In addition to the stress of waiting for the war to end, the possibility of returning home, or starting a new life in a new place, many people experienced a severe stress response even when there was a danger that required immediate evacuation. To help people cope with stress, especially children, volunteers from Ukrainian Red Cross in Bila Tserkva (Kyivska oblast) regularly conduct psychosocial support activities for families of internally displaced persons. At the meetings, parents and children spend time together, participate in creative workshops, communicate with other families.
Such activities help to improve emotional well-being, develop social and communication skills and help cope with stressful events.
