In Transcarpathia, Ukrainian Red Cross continues to help people who were affected by the flood

Volunteers and employees of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society continue to distribute food kits, personal protective equipment and hygiene kits to people who were affected by the flood. First and foremost, vulnerable groups and those in need were provided with necessities.

Assistance was provided with the support of the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, employees of the Transcarpathian regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in cooperation with Flex Ukraine – ”Flextronics LTD” and сharitable organization ”House of Mercy’’.

On January 5 at 09:20 due to rising water levels in Transcarpathia a number of floods were recorded. In total, about 20 houses with basements and about 360 farms and about 400 hectares of agricultural land were flooded in Rakhiv, Tyachiv and Khust districts in Ukraine.
