The Ambassador of Canada and representatives of the Canadian Red Cross visited the Poltava region
Natalka Cmoc, Canada’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, and representatives of the Canadian Red Cross visited the Poltava region to see the humanitarian work of the Ukrainian Red Cross in the area.
The partnership between the Ukrainian and Canadian Red Crosses enables a swift and effective response to challenges. One such example is the restoration of an outpatient clinic in the village of Suprunivka, which had been damaged by a rocket attack in May 2024. Thanks to our joint efforts, windows and doors were quickly replaced, allowing the medical facility to resume operations.
The delegation also visited the Ukrainian Red Cross Active Longevity Club in the village of Novi Sanzhary.
The Ukrainian Red Cross works at the community level to support the most vulnerable people – including older adults, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, and all those who need assistance the most.
We would like to express our gratitude to our partners at the Canadian Red Cross and the Embassy of Canada to Ukraine for their support of our important humanitarian initiatives.
