Humanitarian Aid Under Fire: Supporting Kherson Amid Drone Attacks

Recently, in one of the central districts of Kherson, the Ukrainian Red Cross distributed food parcels from the World Food Programme to people with disabilities, their families, and elderly individuals over the age of 60.

“Everything is very good and tasty. This help is much needed right now. Everything is well organised – the team arrives and distributes the parcels quickly, so you don’t have to stand around for long or worry about coming under fire,” says Olha, a local resident.

Kherson, we are with you! Our work continues.

It is important to note that the joint programme of the Ukrainian Red Cross and the World Food Programme has been implemented in Kherson since the beginning of 2024. Assistance is provided to elderly residents over the age of 60 and individuals with disabilities. People receive food parcels containing all the essentials — such as cereals, canned food, pasta, sugar, oil, and more. Each food parcel weighs 13 kg.

We stand by those in need!
