The Ukrainian Red Cross’s Work at the Site of the Attack on the Capital – 01.01.2025

Drone debris fell in the Pecherskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv.

The emergency response team from the National Committee of the Ukrainian Red Cross quickly arrived at the site in the Pecherskyi district where the wreckage had fallen. Volunteers provided first aid and psychological first aid to the victims. They also set up a relief station where residents of the damaged building could receive professional assistance, charge their mobile phones, and keep warm.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in the Pecherskyi district, the 4th to 6th floors of a residential building were partially destroyed, and a fire broke out on the 4th and 5th floors. The windows of an educational institution and nearby cars were damaged. Firefighting operations are ongoing at both the residential building and a nearby office building. So far, four people have been reported injured and two killed.
