“The Ukrainian Red Cross has saved me and my children from financial ruin,” said Olena, a participant in the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme
Olena and her two children relocated from the Kherson region to Kremenets in the Ternopil region. She had previously worked as a civil servant, was an active social activist, and dreamed of starting her own business — a consulting agency. Her goal is to help companies analyse their current situation, identify ways to increase efficiency, improve financial performance, and reduce risks.
Having been left without income, Olena did not lose hope and decided to pursue her long-held dream. She joined the “Reboot: Expanding Employment Opportunities” programme, implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross with the support of the Spanish Red Cross. Thanks to this initiative, she became one of the winners and used the funds to purchase office equipment. Now, Olena can work efficiently both in the office and during field visits.
Today, she manages international projects in the Kherson region. Olena is convinced that when one door closes, another will definitely open. The key is not to give up and to move forward boldly.
