Assistance in the Kherson region
Despite the temporary occupation, the danger, and the added heat, the volunteers of the Kherson regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross continue to help the region population. They provide humanitarian aid in the organization’s city offices, as well as travel to remote settlements in the region to provide food, hygiene products, medicine, etc. to those who need them most.
“By caring and supporting those around us, we do not become heroes, but only remain human!” – this is how the volunteers of the Kherson regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross write about themselves on their pages in social networks. In a day, a team of volunteers can provide assistance to about 500 people, including many from vulnerable categories: pensioners, people with disabilities, large families, etc.
Part of the assistance is provided with the financial support of the Czech non-governmental organization “People in Need”.
We thank the volunteers and employees for staying on the ground and continuing to help Ukrainians.
