The Tracing Service of the Zaporizhzhia regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross has processed 4,000 appeals since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine
Our team provides services to restore family links and offers support to families whose loved ones are missing or have been captured. Since February 2022, we have opened 800 new search cases. Humanitarian aid has been provided to 144 of the most vulnerable families of missing, captured, or killed individuals. Volunteers also regularly organise information and socialisation events, where families can meet one another, receive advice, and get answers to their most pressing questions. Additionally, families are invited to participate in creative activities, which give them the opportunity to feel safe, valued, and heard.
Families whose relatives are missing as a result of the war in Ukraine can call the Ukrainian Red Cross hotline at 0 800 332 656. Residents of the Zaporizhzhia region can also apply for tracing by calling +38 066 393 5498 or +38 099 769 2487.
Everyone has the right to know the fate of their loved ones, and we are doing everything we can to help!
