Over the past week, mobile health units from the Sumy regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross have provided assistance to 720 people

Currently, six mobile health units are operating across various districts of the Sumy region. The teams have conducted visits to 40 locations, during which they:

  • examined patients;
  • measured blood pressure;
  • determined blood glucose and oxygenation levels;
  • provided primary medical care or referred patients to specialised doctors when necessary;
  • distributed free over-the-counter medications;
  • transported patients to medical facilities in cases of serious conditions.

The Ukrainian Red Cross mobile health units help residents of remote areas with limited or no access to medical services. The activities in the region are supported by the Swedish Red Cross.
