The Odesa regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross employs a volunteer from the Tracing Service who provides support to families of missing persons and prisoners of war

Families who have lost contact with their relatives due to the war in Ukraine can reach out to the Ukrainian Red Cross

Tracing Service for assistance with the following issues:

  • information support in the search for missing persons or prisoners of war;
  • financial assistance and humanitarian aid;
  • participation in emotional support events.

Since the beginning of this year, the volunteer has processed 238 appeals from residents of the Odesa region, resulting in 142 search cases. Additionally, more than 40 information and recreational events and meetings with families to provide psycho-emotional support have been organised.

Families whose relatives have gone missing as a result of the war in Ukraine can contact the Ukrainian Red Cross hotline at 0 800 332 656. Residents of the Odesa region can also call +38 099 660 80 11 or send an email to rfl.od@redcross.org.ua.
