Pet Food Distributed for Animals Evacuated from Bakhmut
Many residents of the Bakhmut community, who were forced to leave their homes because of the war, did not abandon their four-legged friends. Having survived the shelling and travelled hundreds of kilometres in search of safety, they and their pets found refuge in Poltava.
Recognising the vital importance of support for every family, the Poltava regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross is committed to assisting people and caring for their pets. Every life is valuable. Recently, the residents of Bakhmut received humanitarian aid in the form of pet food packages for their animals.
The aid is provided in partnership with the international foundation Humane Society International Europe.
