Expanding the Staff of Mine Risk Instructors
s part of the project “Demining Ukraine: Raising Public Awareness of Mine Risk Prevention and Assistance to Victims,” a training session for mine risk instructors was held in Kyiv. Volunteers from the Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Zhytomyr regional branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross attended the event.
During the training, the participants acquired skills in recognising explosive devices, learned to identify warning signs, and were taught action protocols for maintaining safety in difficult situations. Particular attention was given to communication methods, focusing on conveying information about mine threats to the audience clearly and safely. The ability to impart knowledge is crucial, as it can save lives.
All participants are preparing for certification and will soon begin their significant work: informing citizens about safe behaviour in mine-affected areas.
