Water Safety event held in Chernihiv
Water safety is always a topical issue, especially for younger citizens and during summer holidays.
Thus, a team of volunteers from the Chernihiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, together with lifeguards and patrol police, taught citizens about water safety at one of the city’s beaches. People learned about the safety rules for water activities and what to do in case of an emergency.
First aid instructors from the Chernihiv regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross conducted a masterclass on first aid. Attendees had the opportunity to practise cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on training manikins. Additionally, volunteers from the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Unit organised games and activities for children to improve their psychological well-being, which is crucial today.
