Supporting the journey to employment and entrepreneurship: Reboot programme results presented in the Vinnytsia region
What helps turn new skills into a job and a business idea into a successful enterprise? These questions were at the heart of a round-table discussion held as part of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme. The event took place in Vinnytsia recently, bringing together educators, representatives of the employment centre, local authorities, businesses and civil society.
Participants discussed which professionals are most in demand among employers in the Vinnytsia region and how training provided through the Reboot programme could be better aligned with the actual needs of the local labour market.
The round table also highlighted the programme’s results in the Vinnytsia region for 2024–2026. More than 1,600 people participated in the programme and received support with training and finding employment, while nearly 500 secured jobs. Participants also learned about the services offered at the Ukrainian Red Cross Community Center in Vinnytsia, where people can receive social counselling and psychosocial support, learn about available assistance programmes, and attend first aid training.
Particular attention was paid to entrepreneurship as a pathway to economic independence, especially for veterans and their families. At the Opportunities Fair, participants showcased their products, including baked goods, homemade preserves, chocolate treats and other sweets, as well as jewellery, toys and handmade items. The fair offered an opportunity to see how programme participants are turning their business ideas into reality and to speak with them directly about their work.
The Ukrainian Red Cross’s Reboot programme in the Vinnytsia region is implemented with financial support from the Spanish Red Cross.
