The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to an attack in Zaporizhzhia
This morning, the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked alongside the city’s emergency services at the site of a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. Volunteers searched the area and the residential building to identify people affected by the attack and provide the necessary assistance. First aid was provided to three people, while another 15 received psychological support.
A Ukrainian Red Cross assistance point is operating at the site, where humanitarian aid is being distributed to people affected by the attack based on identified needs.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), one person was killed and 14 were injured in the Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia, including a child and a police officer. SESU psychologists provided assistance to 23 people. Emergency and rescue operations have now been completed. Municipal services are working on-site, and recovery efforts are underway.
