The Ukrainian Red Cross works at the site of the attack in Kremenchuk
Teams from the Poltava regional and Kremenchuk city branches of the Ukrainian Red Cross are working alongside emergency services at the site where the aftermath of the strike on a residential area of Kremenchuk is being addressed.
A Ukrainian Red Cross assistance point has been set up at the site, where people affected by the attack can receive first aid and psychological support if needed. Residents whose homes have been damaged are also being provided with materials for temporary repairs, as well as drinking water and hot drinks. They can also charge their mobile phones.
Due to the ongoing threat of further attacks, work at the site is periodically suspended, and everyone moves to a shelter. As soon as the security situation allows, volunteers and emergency responders will resume providing assistance to those affected.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, two people were preliminarily reported killed and another eight injured as a result of the Russian strike on a residential area of Kremenchuk. One of the enterprises in the Kremenchuk district was also damaged.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
