Sumy: The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of a Russian strike

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked at the site of the strike in Sumy alongside other emergency services. Volunteers surveyed the area, provided first aid to people affected, and transported one injured person to the hospital. They also helped transport the bodies of those who were killed.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on 27 September, Russian forces carried out three guided aerial bomb strikes in one of Sumy’s districts. Two people were killed and five were injured, including a child. One of the strikes occurred near a family and child support centre. The building was damaged, but there were no visitors inside at the time of the attack.
