The Ukrainian Red Cross provides 424 equipment kits to volunteer fire brigades across Ukraine

Rapid response to fires and other emergencies often depends on whether the necessary equipment is available locally. That is why the Ukrainian Red Cross continues to support volunteer fire brigades in communities across Ukraine.

A total of 424 equipment kits will be provided to volunteer fire brigades in eight regions of Ukraine: Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, Volyn, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv.

Each kit contains essential equipment for the brigades’ work, including a portable fire pump, a fire hose with a nozzle, a set of three radios and handheld torches.

This equipment will help volunteer fire brigades respond more quickly to emergencies and strengthen communities’ preparedness to act in critical situations.

The equipment is provided with support from the German Red Cross, the British Red Cross, and the Danish Red Cross.
