The Ukrainian Red Cross responded to the aftermath of attacks in Mykolaiv
The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in the Mykolaiv region, together with other emergency services in the city, responded to the aftermath of another attack on Mykolaiv.
Volunteers worked at sites where civilian and residential infrastructure, businesses and other facilities had been damaged. They supported firefighting operations, searched affected areas to identify people in need of assistance, provided first aid, and transported injured people to medical facilities in the city.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined attack on Mykolaiv region over the past 24 hours, including in the early hours of this morning. In Mykolaiv, a private two-storey residential building and a garage were destroyed. One person was hospitalised in a moderately serious condition, while three others, including a child, received medical assistance. The body of a deceased person was recovered from the rubble. Fires also broke out at several locations across the city, including a shopping centre, a café and the premises of a motor transport company. All the fires were extinguished.
