The Ukrainian Red Cross joins a programme supporting agricultural producers with grain storage

As part of the initiative, Ukrainian agricultural producers can receive grain storage bags free of charge to help preserve harvested crops where traditional grain storage facilities are unavailable or have been damaged.

The programme is aimed at farms growing cereals and oilseeds and cultivating between 100 and 3,000 hectares. Each grain storage bag can hold approximately 200 tonnes of harvested crops.

Applications can be submitted through the State Agrarian Register until 13 September 2026.

The programme is being implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), Mercy Corps and the Ukrainian Red Cross, with U.S. support and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as well as the Government of Canada, the European Union and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
