Today, a new academic year begins for school and university students across Ukraine. At the same time, learning is not limited by age or a particular time of year.

Learning a new profession or developing existing skills is possible at any stage of life.

Expanding access to education and professional development is an important area of the Ukrainian Red Cross’s work. Through the Reboot programme, participants can access free vocational training, develop practical and digital skills, and receive support in finding employment or starting their own business.

More than 6,500 programme participants have already taken advantage of these opportunities. For many of them, gaining new skills has been an important step towards a new stage in life.

This September, the range of available courses will expand further, covering a variety of professional fields.

A significant number of courses will focus on careers in the beauty and service sectors, including hairdressing, cosmetology, massage, and floristry. Training will also be available for baristas, cooks, and garment-making specialists.

For those planning to work in the digital or creative sectors, courses in SMM, digital marketing, graphic design, and interior design will be launched.

Participants will also be able to pursue careers in agriculture, including training to become tractor operators, vegetable growers, and agricultural machinery operators.

These skills, like those gained at schools and universities, can help people find employment, discover a field they enjoy, or take the step towards starting their own business. During challenging periods, learning can also provide a sense of direction, confidence, and help people decide where to go next.
