Kyiv: The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team worked in Shevchenkivskyi district following an overnight attack

The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team surveyed the area to identify people affected by the attack and helped residents locate nearby shelters. Volunteers also provided hot drinks and drinking water to emergency responders working at the site.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Russian attack struck the grounds of a children’s hospital in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district. The building’s windows and a gas pipe were damaged, and two craters were formed. Children and medical staff were in the shelter at the time of the attack.

At another location, a warehouse was hit and caught fire. The fire was contained to an area of 1,200 square metres. One injured person was handed over to medical responders.
