Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units in the Odesa region continue supporting people to regain functional abilities

Since the beginning of 2026, rehabilitation support has been provided to residents of 12 communities in the Odesa region. During this period, specialists carried out 281 outreach visits, provided 127 assistive devices to 53 residents, and gave 53 caregivers guidance on appropriate care, safe transfers, and positioning for people requiring assistance.

Ukrainian Red Cross mobile rehabilitation units support people in communities where access to rehabilitation services is unavailable or limited. The teams most often work with people experiencing the consequences of strokes, limb amputations, multiple fractures, and other complex conditions requiring long-term rehabilitation and recovery.

The physical rehabilitation and social adaptation programme in the Odesa region is implemented with the support of the German Red Cross.

We stand by those in need.
