The Ukrainian Red Cross provided first aid coverage during the “Carpathian Shield – 2026” field training exercise
Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response teams in the Zakarpattia and Ternopil regions provided first aid coverage during the nationwide field training exercise “Carpathian Shield – 2026”, which brought together participants from 18 regions of Ukraine.
Throughout the event, the teams remained on duty around the clock, responded promptly to requests for assistance, provided first aid, and stood ready to respond to any emergencies.
To ensure effective support, the volunteers established a field medical post to stabilise people in critical condition. They also remained on standby in an off-road response vehicle, enabling them to reach even the most difficult-to-access locations quickly.
Continuous readiness to respond, specialised training, and effective teamwork enable Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers to provide timely assistance even in the most challenging conditions.
